START SELLING
Okay, so one of the strategies highly recommended by a bunch of financial bloggers out there is to ‘SELL YOUR STUFF‘.
It’s just STUFF anyway, right?
Well, that may be true but if you’re married, your spouse might not think the same way as you.
The best thing to do is to sit down along with the budget and the plan and find out ways to make money.
Fortunately, we have stuff, that’s why we’re in this hole.
EBAY IT
I personally didn’t know selling in eBay was a breeze, all it takes is just to take a picture of your item, identify it in the description, or if you have no clue, do a search on eBay itself or google, to get a good idea on how to describe your listing, and voila!!! you are now selling to over 150 million users, that’s according to this website statista.
So here’s what our eBay page looks like, or an excerpt of it.
And so far, after steadily posting the past month, we’ve already managed to sell $259 worth of STUFF, minus maybe 30% overhead that includes shipping, seller and paypal fees, i’d say we’ve made $181 already, not bad aye?
And at least 90% of that is going to pay down our debts.. Whoohooo.
Now that we’re getting the hang of this eBay thing, we’re really looking long and hard at all our STUFF, if we’ve haven’t touched it in awhile, it’s going to get listed.
This is not only fulfilling, it’s also satisfying to see that little wins such as these, can do a lot to motivate you to get to your goal faster.
WRAPPING UP
Finally, to all of you who are unsure what STUFF to sell, do the utility test; if you don’t use it, and haven’t touched it in say a few months, we’re very confident you don’t need it and can go ahead and might as well make money out of it.
And don’t worry about what sells or not, like we mentioned up top, there are 150 million plus eBay users looking for STUFF, so you’ll eventually get your items moving in no time, and in turn, would encourage the heck out of you as the money start pouring in.
